Panic attacks are…. to be blunt…… SHIT. I think that summarises them perfectly.
For starters, the symptoms are violent & frightening. Then come the ‘am I having a heart attack’ or ‘am I going crazy’ thoughts…. then the urge to run without fully understanding why…. & ultimately confusion, embarrassment & shame. Everything about panic is EXHAUSTING.

What will you learn?
WHAT a panic attack is – the purpose of one, the chemicals produced & the evolutionary uses of
the physical symptoms. (This is the foundation of recovery. The more we understand about a

WHY a panic attack occurs – the ‘panic trick,’ a miscommunication between the Amygdala & the
rational brain, (& why this is SO important). We will also focus on the panic cycle & specific
HOW to manage a panic attack – both in the short & long term. The ultimate goal is to take the
fear out of panic. This will enable you to live your life secure in the knowledge that you CAN
handle panic if it strikes.
PROGRESSIVE EXPOSURE – The therapy used to reduce panic attacks, by deliberately triggering
them. How can this work for you? We will create your own customised plan.
